May Y. Hao's Prior Experience:
Hao practiced law with three leading US law firms -- White & Case, Baker & McKenzie and Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw -- in New York, Hong Kong and Chicago for about nine years. She has extensive experience in corporate and finance transactions and she was lead counsel in many highly sophisticated domestic and cross-border business transactions.
Her prior transactional experience include:
- Representing oil companies, chemical companies, manufacturers, telecommunications companies and various other entities to set up joint ventures, wholly owned enterprises or other forms of entities in China.
- Representing lenders in project financing transactions relating to power plants, bridges and tunnels, and a geothermal plant in China and in other Asian countries.
- Representing lessors, lessees and lenders in leveraged leasing, synthetic leasing and Eximbank-guaranteed leasing transactions.
- Representing a large Chinese airline in reorganization and privatization and initial public offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
- Representing Chinese and Hong Kong companies in various asset or stock purchase transactions and commercial paper programs.
- Representing lenders, investors, issuers and borrowers/purchasers in a broad range of domestic and cross-border securitization transactions, using single-seller or multi-seller vehicles funded by commercial paper programs or asset-based debt/equity securities offered through private placement and/or 144A/Regulation S transactions.
